Solidatus’ co-founder Philip Miller was today invited to contribute to the Department for International Trade (DIT) closed-group round table hosted by Lord Gerry Grimstone where they discussed international trade during and after Covid.

A major talking point was how 6 months of technological development took place inside the space of 6 weeks, with organisations accelerating their movement into the cloud. Representatives of businesses of all sizes including BAE Systems, VMware, Revolut and CENTURY Tech also contributed.

Other discussion points included how the pandemic has impacted trade, finance, investment and facilitation, both now and into the future with particular concern surrounding cyber security. Philip requested more local support to hold local round tables overseas and more support from in-country knowledge.
